My sister in law asked me to make her baby a dress for her blessing day and this is the one that she chose.

Why Do People Knit This Stuff?

Don't get me wrong. I love to knit. I could knit all day long, but there are some things in this knitting world that I will never understand. Like...
The Knitted DNA strand? The knitted car antenna cozy?
The Beer Bottle Sweater Cozy?
A Knitted Human Heart?

A knitted Motercycle cozy?
A knitted Beatle Cozy??? What the???

I didn't think it could got any worse than the Beatle cozy...

A knitted tank cozy?

Who on earth has time for this stuff???

Note the cute little pom pom hanging from the tank's barrel...

Braided Scarf

I saw a scarf very similar to this at Target the other day when I was shopping with my hubby. I thing it's super cute. I could see doing this with some very large needles and making it very chuncky. Maybe with multiple colors in the same color family as well.

Click here -->Braided Scarf for the pattern for this.

On the Last Leg

ha ha! Get it? I know. Bad joke...
Aren't they turning out cute though? I tried them on my son and they are perfect. One leg to go and I will have a pattern for you. I know that I was using an existing pattern, but I had to change a lot and it was just not working correctly.

Making Progress

I have been working on these pants for a few weeks now and feel that I am over half way done now. Here I am at the park with my kids-one of the few times that I can knit without feeling too guilty about neglecting something.
Waist done... Legs to go...

Hung Hem

A Hung Hem makes a great finish to any project. On the pants I am making, it's also used to make a casing for the elastic/drawstring in the waist. This is similar to a three needle bind-off (Just don't cast off).

I am kind of embarrassed to be the one in the video, but I couldn't find a video online that shows you how to do this. Plus, the way that I learned how to do it is harder than this way. It's not as hard as it looks on the video... It was just difficult to see what I was doing through the screen on the camera. If it's not clear enough just leave me a comment and I will try to clarify.

Cute Pants

So I have decided to make these cute pants for my son.

I am doing them in green and brown and I hope they turn out really cute!

Oh! Also, I just ordered a bunch of knitting needles online that I am way excited to get. They are bamboo and were so cheap! I got both single point needles and double point needles. I can wait to get them!

What To Knit Next

I haven't really knitted anything since I had my baby three months ago. The last thing I knitted was this blessing outfit and hat for my new little guy. It turned out pretty cute, but I learned an inportant lesson on this one. Check your gauge! It is important. Anyways, I am starting to get the itch to knit something. My sister is having a baby so I can definately do something there, but it would really help if I knew if she were having a boy or a girl. So I need something for in the meantime. I was thinking I could knit white blanket for her... Any Ideas? I might have to just start something for one of my kiddos. Oh no! Not something for one of my kids! AAaaahhh! :)

I Knit Therefore I Am

I love to knit. It is a fun past time, I love giving gifts to people that I made with my own two hands, I love the challenge of trying a new pattern, and I love the feeling of accomplishment that I get when I complete a project.
